925 means 92.5% pure silver, alloyed for strength. Recycled means it is reclaimed from existing material rather than newly mined, which is where most of the environmental difference sits.
It behaves identically to newly mined sterling. The only difference is where it came from.
Vermeil is a defined standard, not a marketing word: solid sterling silver beneath at least 2.5 microns of gold. Ours is laid at 3.5.
Gold plating, by contrast, is a thin wash over base metal and wears through quickly. The full comparison is in gold vermeil vs gold plated vs solid gold.
Silver ages in the open. It darkens where it is held and brightens where it rubs, and a cloth brings it back. Gold vermeil holds a constant colour, but it is a surface, so it asks to be kept clear of perfume, sunscreen and chlorine.

Put it on last and take it off first. Perfume, sunscreen, chlorine and cleaning products are what wear gold, not ordinary daily use.
Wipe it with a dry cloth after wearing and keep it out of a damp bathroom. Treated that way, vermeil holds its colour for years.
