Questions about engraving
How long does engraving take?
Engraved pieces are made to order in our Bali atelier and take 5 to 8 weeks from order to delivery. Each one is cut to the size you choose.
The character limit varies by piece and is shown on the product page.
How many characters can I engrave?
It depends on the piece and on where the engraving sits. Inside a band holds more than the face of a signet does. The limit is shown on each product page.
Shorter tends to read better — initials, a date, a few words.
Can I return or exchange an engraved piece?
No. Engraved pieces are cut to your size and made for one person, so they are final sale for change of mind and for sizing.
Size with the Ring Sizer Kit before you order. It is $5, comes with $20 credit, and removes the guesswork.
What can I have engraved?
Initials, a name, a date, coordinates, a short phrase — anything that fits the character limit. Handwriting and symbols are not something we can reproduce.
Will engraving wear away?
Not in any normal lifetime. It is cut into the metal rather than printed on it. Inside a band it is protected further by sitting against the finger.
Do you offer free shipping?
Standard shipping within Australia is free on orders of $250 or more, and $9.95 below that. Express is $14.95 and is always charged in full.
New Zealand is $12.95, free over $300. The United States, United Kingdom and Canada are $14.95, free over $275. Europe is $16.95, free over $300. Full rates are in our shipping policy.
